Sharpsburg Memorial Day Parade

The 1st Maryland has been invited by the Sharpsburg Memorial Day Committee to participate in the 155th Sharpsburg Memorial Day Parade.
The parade will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 2pm. Parade participants should report to the Sharpsburg Elementary School parking lot and check in before 1:30pm. Please be advised that traffic usually travels slowly through town, so please allow enough time to arrive and check in.

Day of Drill on Derrenbacher Farm

The 1st Maryland will be organizing for a day of drill on Ken Derrenbacher’s Farm.
This will be an opportunity for the unit membership to get together, stay active and keep their skills sharp.
The day will consist of basic drilling, manual of arms, loading and firing, and company formations in preparation for the NR Camp of Instruction.

AHEC Army Heritage Days

Army Heritage Days
The USAHEC hosts an annual timeline living history event, Army Heritage Days, which examines nearly every era of U.S. Army history. As part of Army Heritage Days, the USAHEC hosts many specialized events, including workshops, demonstrations, reenactments, and Veteran “meet and greets,” both outside on the mile-long Army Heritage Trail and inside the Visitor and Education Center.
