Remembrance Day Parade
Annual Remembrance Day Parade in Gettysburg PA. Prior to the Parade the NR will hold a Dress Parade, at this dress parade the NR will recognize all those unit members who have passed away during the current year and honor one unit member as the soldier of the year.
158th Cedar Creek Reenactment
The 158th Battle of Cedar Creek Reenactment October 15th and 16th, 2022
In Commemoration of the 158th Anniversary of the Battle of Cedar Creek, originally fought on October 19, 1864, the Cedar Creek Battlefield Foundation will host the reenactment event on the original fields in Middletown, Virginia. Cedar Creek Battlefield Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the preservation of the Battlefield and the education of scholars and the general public. 160th Antietam Reenactment “A Perfectly Homespun Waterloo”
“A Perfectly Homespun Waterloo” 160th Maryland Campaign is a semi-immersive Battalion “Force on Force” preservation event.
Date: September 16 – 18, 2022
Location: Sharpsburg, MD
Location Details: The event committee has secured a 200+ acres farm in Sharpsburg, MD. The farm is just a few miles from Antietam Battlefield and is bordered by THE Antietam Creek.
The farm has been in the same family since the 1840’s.
The farm is the location of the 2nd Corp camps.
The farm is the location of a battlefield hospital.
Camps will be along the Antietam Creek.
The main scenarios decided thus far are “The march to and defense/crossing of Snavely’s Ford and Otto’s Cornfield. As the event progresses, there may be other scenario opportunities. Stay tuned.

Federal Commander – Scot Buffington
NR Camp of Instruction, Landis Valley
The NR Camp of Instruction is a battalion size drill event intended to hone the skills of the individual units when part of a battalion.
The event has an emphasis on battalion maneuvers that will be used in the field at large events. Officers are given the opportunity to command at a level not available at an individual company event. At the event, the units will work on individual company drills, battalion drills, formations and marching and dress parade.
The event will be held at Landis Valley, 2451 Kissel Hill Rd, Lancaster, PA.
Gruber Wagon Works Living History
The 53rd PA is sponsoring a living history drill weekend at Gruber Wagon Works. The weekend will consists of basic company drills and maneuvers along with a number of firing demonstrations.
Memorial Day Parade/Lincoln Cemetery Service
The 7th PA Reserves has invited us to join them for their Memorial Day activities. The day starts with marching in the Mechanicsburg PA Memorial Day parade that morning. Memorial Day afternoon the Unit heads to the Lincoln Cemetery to participate in a ceremony held by a Mechanicsburg Veterans organization to honor a group of Civil War Colored Soldiers that are buried in the cemetery.

Building on the successes of Shenandoah 1864, On to Richmond, Lee Takes Command, Maryland, my Maryland and over a dozen other large-scale events, Rear Rank Productions is proud to announce Terrible Swift Sword, Virginia 1862.
A participant only event, hosted on an original battlefield, this event will feature tightly scripted and historical scenarios based upon the Official Records and first-person accounts. Because this is a participant only event, we can further utilize the property to allow for deeper and more intricate scenarios.

Like previous events, TSS will feature both campaign and garrison camping, with even handed rule enforcement as per the overall event regulations.
Mike Lavis will be the Federal Commander and S. Chris Anders will be leading the States Rights Forces.
The event site is actually a privately owned portion of the North Anna Battlefield.
The scenarios we are working on for TSS will be a portion of the Battle of First Winchester, Brawner’s Farm and a portion of 2nd Manassas.
Teaming together, we will create an experience and immerse you in Virginia, 1862.
Come be a part of this excellent event.
Held at 13022 Verdon Rd, Doswell VA this event will be centrally located, and here is a map of the event site.
This event will be built around you, the participants and if successful, we will be hosting Chancellorsville here in 2023 and then the Battle of North Anna in 2024.

Terrible Swift Sword
NR School of Instruction
Annual NR School of Instruction. The school is open to all members of NR units. Classroom sessions will be held throughout the day on numerous Civil War topics from drill, impressions and general interest. In addition to the classes in the Fire House on Saturday, on Sunday morning there will be a two-hour battlefield tour along Seminary Ridge conducted by retired Gettysburg National Park Ranger John Heiser (a member of the 53rd PA). Registration cost for the school is $30 per man and is payable at the door Saturday morning. That includes your breakfast and lunch on Saturday. The event is held at the Gettysburg Fire Department, 35 N Stratton St, Gettysburg PA.
